How to Spend Wedding Weekend in Westchester as a Bride To Be
Friday: Westchester, NY Arrival Day
It’s the day before your wedding which means rehearsal dinner and last minute touches.
All of your bridal party and close family will be spending the day with you so try to arrive in Westchester, NY by around 3 PM to check into your hotel and start getting ready for your rehearsal dinner!
Depending on the size of your bridal party and family that will be with you, our sister venue, The Pleasantville Manor is a great location to celebrate your rehearsal dinner! You’ll enjoy discounted pricing (since you’ve booked your wedding with us at The Briarcliff Manor), delicious in-house cuisine and a relaxing evening to start the celebrations of your wedding weekend!
After your rehearsal dinner is a good time to get any last minute details completed which could include finishing packing your emergency kit for tomorrow or steaming your dress.
If you have all that set and ready to go then enjoy the rest of your evening relaxing with your friends and family or go out for an after dinner drink and hit the strip in White Plains, NY.
Saturday: Wedding Day!
It’s finally here! Woohoo! Wedding day has begun and today’s the day that you and your partner tie the knot and begin the next chapter of your lives together.
Depending on when you coordinate hair and make up to begin (it could be as early as 5 AM) that will take up a decent chunk of your morning as you and your bridal party and family get ready for your special day!
Make sure to order some champagne and juices to kick off the celebrations with some breakfast for you and the ladies to enjoy.
If you chose to opt-in to our buyout wedding package, we’ll see you around 12 PM at The Briarcliff Manor! Otherwise, typically you’ll arrive in the afternoon after 3 PM for your suite time.
Once you arrive at our venue, you and your bridal party will enjoy champagne and snacks pre-ceremony so even if you didn’t get to eat breakfast; no need to worry we’ve got you covered!
Any last minute touch ups can be finished in our bridal suites before you prepare for your first look.
Your photographer should arrive at the venue slightly before you so detailed shots will be completed upon arrival which allows you to change into your dress and let the fun begin!
We have plenty of locations for you to pick for your first look. One of our favorites is in front of the fountain! You’ll get the perfect lighting, the backdrop of our stunning venue and a private first look while the bridal party and family are inside. A nice added bonus for your special day is our bridal attendant assistance. They will be helping coordinate the first look with your photographer, so no need to stress about seeing each other prior!
After the first look is when photoshoots and the rest of the fun begins! The rest of the night is full of delicious food, drinks, love and lots of dancing!
