Helpful Tips For Fall Brides To Be
Fall is one of our couples top choices of all the wedding seasons due to our beautiful ceremony view overlooking the Hudson River and the changing leaves with sunset views.
When planning a wedding there are many different aspects to consider including theme, attire, flowers, decor, cuisine, and so much more. Our team of event planning professionals came together to help think of tips and tricks for the perfect fall wedding!
1. Theme and Decor
Depending on the theme of your fall wedding, you can add in cute customized signage, guest books, cocktail stirrers, napkins and other decor items to enhance the theme.
The fall season provides a lot of opportunity to get creative! You can lean towards the classic orange and red autumn decor or lean toward the elegant autumn theme with velvet purple and black and white decor elements.

2. Flowers
Fall flowers are absolutely stunning as normally they’re berry tones, burgundy or orange flowers. There are many different options of fall blooms to help enhance the seasonality and make your wedding bouquets and centerpieces pop!
3. Cuisine
Customize your menu to include fall favorites such as soup shooters, a fall salad or a fall themed wedding cake.
Some of our fall favorites are our Seasonal Soup Shooters including our French Onion Soup, Butternut Squash, or Tomato Soup with Mini Grilled Cheese and our Fall and Winter Salad with Greens, Apples, Cranberries, Gorgonzola and House Vinaigrette.
Customized signature cocktails are also a must have for your wedding. We’ve helped create delicious fall cocktails such as an Apple Cider Margarita or Sangria.
4. Guest Favors
Place a basket of shawls by the front entrance for guests to grab before making their way to the ceremony. Guests will love this especially when they step outside to sit by the fire!
You can also get creative with Thank You gifts for your guests to take on their way out and make them fall themed. You can purchase little pumpkins and decorate them with a thank you note attached, a small fall candle, fall scented soaps, a mini honey jar, etc.
5. Attire
For the Bride To Be; consider adding a shawl to your wardrobe or pick a dress with detachable sleeves in case it’s chilly out.
If you’d like your guests to stay to the theme of your wedding, request they wear fall colored attire, this will help add an additional touch to the ambiance.
6. Lighting
Soft, warm lighting helps create a cozy fall atmosphere. Our ballroom has customizable lighting which is perfect during your reception!
