Falling for You: Wedding at The Briarcliff Manor
How They Met
Our beautiful Briarcliff Manor Couple, Elyse + Castle’s love story started back in college where the two first met. They had always known each other, having a lot of mutual friends and Junior year when they’re friends went to study abroad in Ireland, the two began to hangout more often and that’s when love bloomed! For their very first date, Castle took Elyse to an Italian restaurant up in Burlington, Vermont, and the rest was history!
The Proposal
Elyse + Castle’s proposal story gives us all the engagement feels! The two went upstate New York to spend some time with Castle’s family. With so many of Castle’s family there, Elyse was surprised when one night all of them left, leaving just her and Castle. In such a sweet move, Castle made dinner for the two of them. Followed by dinner, the two took a walk out onto the lake’s dock. On that dock, she said yes! As Elyse turned around, there was Castle – her soon to be fiancé – down on one knee!
The Wedding
Fall is the perfect backdrop for rustic romance at the manor and our gorgeous Briarcliff Manor Couple, Elyse + Castle’s had the Fall Wedding of our dreams!
Elyse changed it up and had her final touches in our Vista Room overlooking the Hudson River and the aisle she was soon to be walking down to her Groom! Castle, in our Groom’s Suite also suited up with the sweetest smile on his face. Before they knew it, they were ready for one of our favorite moments – the First Look!
One of our hidden photo ops is the brick stairwell on the side of the manor, surrounded by greenery and the beautiful colors of the Fall leaves, it was the perfect backdrop for Elyse + Castle’s first look. Waiting at the bottom of the staircase, Castle was so excited to see his Bride – and he had the sweetest reaction to seeing beautiful Elyse! Later on, Castle and Elyse shared their first look spot with those special to them as they took their bridal party portraits.
Just moments after their first look, the two were ready to tie the knot! Under the beautiful Fall floral arch, Elyse + Castle exchanged vows and became Mr. + Mrs.! One of Elyse + Castle’s favorite moments was getting to say “I do” with such a beautiful sunset as the backdrop and the perfect Fall weather.
Once they made their way back down the aisle hand in hand, the two were ready to celebrate! The newlyweds made their grand entrance into their Fall reception and shared their first dance as husband and wife. Every sweet step of their special moment was beautifully captured by Garret Torres Photography Another favorite moment of the night for the newlyweds was getting out on the dancefloor! Elyse and Castle had an absolute blast dancing the night away as newlyweds and getting to see their closest family and friends celebrating with them.
Just like their ceremony, their reception incorporated Fall everywhere from the beautiful centerpieces – which were a gorgeous set of bright florals in a pumpkin vase! – to their Fall inspired wedding cake. The two got even sweeter as they gave away little leaf shaped maple syrup jars as a wedding favor at the end of the night.
Mr. + Mrs. ended their big day with a must-have nighttime balcony shot, ready to start their new journey!
