What Do You Need for Your Wedding Day?

That is the million dollar question!

Wedding planning takes time and there are so many different things you see online of “Must Haves” for your wedding day. Well, what is absolutely necessary for your wedding day? It truly is up to you on how many small details you want to include! We’re here to help make a shortened list of things we find vital to help make your wedding day successful and everything you’ve ever dreamed of!

1.Choose Your Wedding Theme

Depending on time of year, you can base your wedding theme off of seasonality to help choose all your decor and floral designs.

For our upcoming fall brides, it might be fun to incorporate subtle pumpkins into your wedding decor and have fall colored florals along with matching fall bridesmaids dresses!

For spring and summer brides, you can have light and airy decor and florals including bright pops of color and fans for your guests to use during outdoor ceremonies.

Winter weddings call for pine wedding decor, deep red florals, silver accents and lots of candles and ambient lighting to set the cozy winter wedding scene.

2. Bridesmaids Dresses

Your bridal party should be in the color and dress type that you want!

Lately, we’ve seen some bridal parties that have mix matched dress textures that are all still the same color! Whatever your preference, we think that your choice of bridesmaids dresses are vital to your perfect wedding day!

3. Where You’ll be Getting Ready

On your wedding day you’ll need to decide where you’re getting ready. This choice will impact the morning portion of your day and you want to make sure it’s somewhere that has enough space for you and your bridal parties, hair and make up and natural lighting.

Some of our brides and grooms choose the hotel they are staying at or their homes to do all the prep including hair and make up then make their way to our venue to change into their dresses and suits and start taking their final touch photos before first look and couple portraits!

4. Ceremony Decor

Your ceremony arch or ceremony decor should match your overall theme of your wedding day. Whether you’re choosing between a traditional circle arch, a square arch, floral designs or floor flowers – your ceremony photos will be cherished for a lifetime so we think that your ceremony and ceremony decor is one of the most important parts of your wedding day!

It’s important to really think about what decor you’d like to have during your ceremony which could include lanterns, petals on the aisle, floral installs lining the aisle, the arch, bows on the chairs and more!

Additionally, you can include bubbles or flower petals for your walk back down the aisle to make those “Just Married” photos extra beautiful and allow guests to interact within your wedding!

5. Seating Chart & Displayed Decor

Your seating chart is absolutely vital to wedding day success! This chart will help guide your guests into reception to get the party started and will provide staff with the knowledge of where everyone should be seated.

Additional displayed decor is a nice touch to add to really personalize your wedding day and make it feel special. Some fun decor might include a guest book, date night ideas, dance floor essentials and more!

Your decor is for you to decide on whether you want a lot of a little, either way your wedding will be beautiful because it’s celebrating your love!

6. Sweetheart Table Florals

Similar to your ceremony decor, your sweetheart table is a key point during reception. It’s best to reuse the florals from your ceremony to decorate your sweetheart table along with yours and your bridesmaids bouquets to add even more florals!

You want to make sure your sweetheart table is decorated for those beautiful photos during speeches and throughout the night!

7. Signature Cocktails / Signage

Signature cocktails aren’t absolutely vital to your wedding day success but they are a guest favorite!

You can get creative with the names of your cocktails, they help share with guests your favorite drinks of choice and you can make cute signature drink signage to place on the bar!

8. Day and Night Photos

At the start of your wedding day you’ll be taking so many photos between getting ready photos to couple portraits and family photos. It’s important to have a selection of photos to choose from which is why night time photos are a great addition to your special day! They help capture the venue in a different light and showcase different beautiful aspects. Our manor creates a beautiful backdrop for your night time photos on the balcony!
