Efficiently Planning Your Wedding Day Photos

Your wedding day will go by in a blink of an eye..which is why it’s so important to plan your photo shoot timeline accordingly!

Most of your day could be filled with photos. From getting ready photos to night time photoshoots and everything in between – it’s important to efficiently plan your wedding day photos so you make room for the enjoyment of your wedding day!

We have two package options available for your special day at The Briarcliff Manor.

Our standard 90 minutes provides enough time for you to change into your wedding wear then begin photoshoots on property before guests begin to arrive.

Our buyout package provides you with additional suite time to relax in between shoots and gives you more than enough time to take bridal party and family photos.

Here’s a breakdown timeline for you to utilize so you make room for enjoying your wedding day!

1. Getting Ready Photos

Your getting ready photos should be before you are changed into your dress or tux before the ceremony. They should include getting hair and make up done or just relaxing in the hotel room before you make your way to The Briarcliff Manor. Upon arrival at our venue, take additional photos with your dress, tux, detailed shots and final touch portraits in our suites.

2. First Look & Couple Portraits

If you plan to do a first look with your partner, it’s a good idea to do so within 15-20 minutes after you arrive at our venue. This provides you plenty of time to take couple portraits after. We have so many different picturesque spaces that you’ll want to have as your backdrop which is why we suggest the earlier you do your first look, the better!

3. Bridal Party Photos
After you finish up couples portraits, invite your bridal party down from our suites to begin bridal party photo shoots! Allow about 20 minutes for these photos as you want to have different set ups and backdrops for these as well.

4. Family Photos
It’s a great idea to invite your immediate family to our venue before guest arrival time for family photos. This way you can attend your full cocktail hour and won’t have to worry about missing it for more photos.

All together, our standard 90 minute package allows for plenty of time for your photoshoots before the ceremony with you and your partner, bridal party and family.

Our buyout option will provide you with the peace of mind that any additional photo ideas or places you may want to take photos in, you’ll have plenty of time to do so with additional time to relax before guests begin to arrive.

Our manor is fully lit at night creating a beautiful backdrop and stunning silhouette shot of you and your partner on our front balcony. Our fountain is also well lit at night creating a timeless photoshoot opportunity as well as our side yard used for cocktail hour for a photoshoot under the lights! We’ve also seen our couples have their guests line up at the end of the night on our front steps for a departing photoshoot to end the night!
